ANDREW + KATY | THE PROPOSAL

I love proposals. I think they are so exciting and the anticipation of them is just SO real. This story was like no other. Meet Andrew + Katy, they currently live in Salisbury, Maryland. Andrew reached out to me in the beginning of January and said that they will be in Florida in February and during their time here, he wanted to propose. (Ahhhhhh) He also mentioned to me that one of the things Katy would want from the proposal is for me to capture it. He went on and on about how much she loves my work and would love for me to be there to capture it. (music to my ears) You see, this is Katy's 4th session with me. Things like this, I don't take lightly. I find true honor that someone appreciates what I do and so much. Thank you guys!
Nevertheless, let me tell you the love story. Since Katy loved my work so much, he told her that when they will be in Florida, he has arranged a photoshoot with me. She knew we would be taking photos so she came prepared and ready to take pictures. This was nothing out of the ordinary since I have captured her life moments multiple times. Andrew told me that he will pick me up on a boat and we will go to the little island where they hung out for their first date a few years back. On the island, he put the ring in the sand with a heart around it so when he would walk her over, he would know where the ring would be. And that is exactly what happened, I came on the boat to the location and we started the "session." After a few photos, Andrew walked her over to the designated spot and got on one knee and asked Katy to marry him. She was beyond shocked and with lots of tears of excitement, said YES! Andrew also arranged for Katy's parents to be there and witness the super sweet moment. After the proposal and all the happy tears, we actually did end up doing a session and love was in the air like no other. Congratulations you two!
