Lucas is being promoted to BIG BROTHER!
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDASeptember 15, 2017LUCAS IS BEING PROMOTED TO BIG BROTHER!I don't normally post too many personal posts but I am really considering to start doing them more often. It's so great to look back and see how I felt and the emotions I experienced. Back in July, we were super excited to announce that we were expecting another addition to our family. I found out I was pregnant the night before my father-in-laws funeral. It was a very sad but also exciting moment in our life. We were celebrating one life being gone and one life about to be born soon. From the time I found I was pregnant, I felt like I was having a boy. I felt exactly the same as I did with Lucas. My morning/all day sickness was very rough till about 16 weeks or so. Fatigue was at its worst. I was literally a couch potato and nothing made me feel better. The Florida heat also didn't make it easier on me. Thankfully, Lucas was not a hard toddler. He was pleased with me just reading books to him from the couch. He's a very independent child and I love that so much about him. Fast forward a few weeks, we had our babymoon in Europe for 3 weeks, where the weather was cooler and I felt so much better. At one point, my husband told me we were not going to go because I felt SO sick. Thankfully, everything went away by the time we landed in Frankfurt, Germany. I still gag daily because EVERYTHING still grosses me out but I've learned to just live with it.Once we returned from our trip, I was so excited for the long-awaited appointment to find out who we were having. Thursday it finally happened and we found out WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER BOY! I'm pretty thrilled that I knew all long and my motherly instincts were right. Now, January 29th can come soon enough!I really wanted to do a gender reveal party but we didn't have much time to plan for one and we were wayyy to excited to find out who we were having. Therefore, I asked the ultrasound nurse to write down who we were having and my husband and I went on a dinner date and opened the results. I decided to be a bit more creative with our announcement and let our 2-year old indulge in some sugar to prepare him for the upcoming big brother task. He absolutely loved this session and posed away for me while indulging in the cupcakes.I am still shooting and plan to continue working until the end of December. I will be taking January & February off to be with my babies and recover. Photography really helps me in the recovery process as I get to do what I love and be around adults a few hours here and there. I am so excited for what is to come and can't wait to meet our precious new addition.Outfit: Zara KidsTeepee: AmazonCupcakes: Sweets by Holly
