The tiny country of Andorra 2016
ANDORRAMARCH 2016The tiny country of Andorra is barely visible on the map, landlocked between Spain and France’s border. Bet you've never heard of it, because I didn't until my husband told me about it. The drive to Andorra is actually considered a scenic route by National Geographic Magazine. We drove through the scary (well scary for me) Pyrenees mountain roads to get to the capital, Andorra la Vella. It is actually the highest capital city in Europe. I was very excited about seeing snow as we never get snow in Florida! Andorra is famous for its ski slopes and shopping. They have no taxes, so make a stop at your favorite stores! Second time back and we defiantly splurged a bit. (Fun Fact: Zara is based out of Spain so people who live in Spain/Andorra get a special discount on everything in the store while shopping at Zara! How awesome huh?)The country has basically three cities that we drove through on our way to the French town of Toulouse. Obviously, we had to stop and take photos by the feet and feet of snow that lined the winding road.
